The “squeaky bum time” of transfer deadline day has come and gone again and the squads are locked in place. At least… until January.
This summer saw a record £870m spent by clubs across the Premier League. A number so stupendously large that it’s hard to even fathom its true meaning.
That’s where we come in. We’ve dug around to uncover the highest spending clubs and worked out how many basic household items could have been bought with their summer haul.
